Emily Ilseng, MA, LMFT Associate
Supervised by Carla Noto-Vencill, LMFT-S
I work with couples and individuals who wish to understand themselves in a deeper, more meaningful way. Many of my clients come to me feeling worn out by relational conflict, hurt by infidelity, and longing to feel a deeper connection with their partner. They might be struggling to feel comfortable with being who they are and are feeling disconnected in their lives and relationships. They want to understand family-of-origin issues, navigate life transitions, and manage perfectionism.
I personalize and tailor my couples therapy approach to fit and address the specific dynamics of your relationship. Together, we will address deep-rooted patterns in your relationship while fostering positive change. My hope is that you and your partner will gain the tools to enhance understanding, deepen connection, and promote mutual growth.
My approach to individual therapy involves exploring your inner thoughts, beliefs, hopes, patterns, and motivations. My role as your therapist is to help guide and support you when exploring these areas and provide you with the necessary tools and insights you may need. I hope that you will be able to identify where change, healing, and growth are possible and gain the necessary strategies and solutions to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.
My goal is for you to feel empowered, more connected to who you are, and more fulfilled in your life and relationships. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life and that our situations or obstacles do not define who we are. By exploring the challenging dimensions of our lives, we can feel greater fulfillment, growth, and freedom.
I know it can be challenging to take the first step to talk with someone. It would be an honor and privilege to provide a non-judgmental, safe place to help you explore these areas of your life. If you feel we would be a good fit for each other, I would love to connect with you for a phone consultation using the link below.
